I thought about Chychrun for Boston too, but in the end I think I'd take the pick. Bruins have a lot of faith in Lohrei and I think they're happy with giving him top 4 minutes. Otherwise they'd probably use Chychrun as a rental, which I wouldn't necessarily mind, but at the end of the day the Bruins probably aren't winning a Cup this season anyway so what good is that?

actually a pretty solid deal for ullmark. u may try and hold out a bit and get chyc instead cuz at worst u flip him for a similar player as bran and a pick but if its that deal or 10oa imo that deal is far better for were the bruins nd sens are.

I mentioned it in an above comment, but I don't think Chychrun will be a priority for Boston, on account of how much the organization likes Lohrei. They could use Chychrun as a rental of course, but doing so in what is likely to be another transitional year doesn't seem to be worth it.

As to 10OA, if NJ offers it absolutely. I'm not sure they will, but I would love to see Boston get a shot at Berkly Catton.

This might just be me but im not a fan of bringing bertuzzi back. Didn't like how it ended with the bruins and even thought his playing style is a good fit I can't see him back in a bruins uni. The lauko move is something im curious about, hes young and works really hard, I'd arguably rather have him over nosek.

As to Bertuzzi, I don't buy at all that he did something wrong for trying to find a better deal for himself. In any case, outside of DeBrusk who I think is more likely gone than not, I don't see a better fit for the Bruins at the price range outside of Bert.

As to Lauko, I like him but he doesn't have a whole ton of upside beyond what he's already shown. A cheap deal for Nosek is more enticing to me mainly because it gives the Bruins another strong faceoff-taking option, which was a huge problem last season.

Bertuzzi went to toronto for less money and less term than what the bruins were offering. He also said he wanted to stay in toronto per David Pagnotta and they need more speed than what bertuzzi can offer and more scoring. So the bruins have to pick their poison that way. On top of that swayman is looking for 8-8.5 and if this deal does happen I think those powerplays would be more balanced than this.
