Okay now do their age. Askarov is 21 but when he is 23 he would be an NHL starter and Sogaard at 23 was worse than Korpisalo and Forsberg in the NHL games he played. He was drafted at #11 for a reason. Sogaard ain't even a top 20 goalie prospect in the NHL, at best he is a backup goaltender in the future.

Askarov is not any special and not worth the extreme and i mean extreme level of risk OTT would take going from 7th to 22nd. no G prospect or G for that mater is worth the difference.

Askarov + Emery/Elick > Catton/Buium to me.

the difference between Parehk/Tig and Emery/Elick in talent and potential of being top 6/4 players is not even close to being askarov who has a greater chance of ending up a bust than being a starting G.

Stop believing the freaking hype.....

Parekh or Iginla has as much bust potential as Askarov.
