I think you're trying to make a logical reason for the Coyotes to take the overpaid Vorachek. Leader, has he really shown it in career with the somewhat faltering flyers?
Duclair, Fisher and likely a high pick have a lot more potential and are a lot cheaper than Vorachek, an easy pass from the coyotes.

Just the youth of fisher, duclair and high very round pick would point to more potential. Admitting potential is always reached. Vorachek might have reached his peak at age 27 and playing on the top line.
Obviously if Coyotes it would be for immediate help, which doesn't seem to the Coyote way. But maybe it should be their way, like the Stepan trade.
