Colorado gets a young top 4 D, a first round pick, and a good prospect to start their rebuild.

Buffalo gets their 2nd pair RHD for the long term. Under contract for 2 more years, but with Moulson and Pommer coming off the books, an extension could definitely happen. Barrie is a good even strength scorer and possession player.

We have a ton of LHD (McCabe, beaulieu, scandella, antipin, and Guhle if you to count him) and 1 RHD worth a damn (Risto). Not that hard

I know we have LHD but a 1st and a prospect just to get a slightly better D that's right handed. That doesn't make any sense. Also I read that in the KHL Antipin played right side

Don't think we'd trade McCabe with Housley taking over, but either way I think a 1st, 4th, prospect, and a top 4 dman is a lot to give up just for one player.

I know we could use a RH defenseman...
but this is just too much to give up

Antipin plays the right side
And we do have Borgen coming
Maybe Housley can get Bogosian's head straight so he can be a decent defenseman for us until the young guys are ready for bigger roles?
If not,
maybe sign a UFA or trade for a Vet who won't cost as much as one of these young defensemen like Barrie
