What's your thought process for the Sabres trade?

Danielson was a bad pick. I guess red wings fans can pretend they drafted ASP 9th overall and Danielson 17th.

I don't think the value is there with Benson for 15 and Veleno. No doubt the Sabres say no 11/10 times. But even the value itself is bad.

15 is typically 2-3 years out. Veleno is.. a bottom 6 center.

Passed on Benson only 68 points in 54 games in after being a top 10 pick isn’t great production for a junior player.

Ya, no. Trading Benson who's already proven that he can play in the NHL at 18 for a prospect that they can take at 11oa is not going to happen.

He was on a bad Brandon team majority of the year where he was a ppg player, traded to Portland where he was just under a point and a half per game player and then made it to the WHL finals with 7 goals and 17 assists in 18 playoff games which is pretty damn good if you ask me. Just because Benson made a bad Sabres roster before Danielson does not mean Danielson is a bad pick in the top 10 when both players play two completely different games and provide different skillsets.

Then the sabres can have both if they want but trading someone who is a good player in the NHL already at 18 because you can pick a prospect that might be impactful in a year or two is exactly how the sabres would continue to miss the playoffs.

theyre going to miss the playoffs regardless if this trade scenario happens or not and its just an idea its not that serious. I believe it would be a trade for the Sabres to at least think about. You dont believe so and thats okay. move along now
