Why would Broberg even sign such a low ball offer? Oilers can match any contract offered. Oilers would match obviously . Hence "Restricted Free Agent".

Lmao it’s not lowball. It’s what he’s worth. Same as Zamula and Brink, haven’t proved much but re-signing them all o see if they can prove themselves. Broberg gets a bit more because he’s been good. If EDM gives anything more than $1.5 to Broberg on a RFA contract it would be stupid.

I know what you’re getting at with the 8X$10,000,000 , however his contract won’t be worth that much. Doubt it’ll even be above $8.5. $8.5 will be the max, he’s just testing Philly.

To add on to this, the deal won’t happen if the Ducks re-sing Zegras. Ducks have enough forward depth.

Leafs need defense more than the flyers need offense. Extremely even though value wise like you said.
