Trading Marner would be a massive mistake for Toronto.

Don't see the appeal for OTT. Norris had a down year but is a young 2C w/ term and upside. Chychrun is still a fringe 1LD w/ upside.
I may be in the minority but a genuine young 2C and a young top 4 defenseman is worth more than one year of Marner.

Leafs aren't trading a top 5RW and best 2-way winger in the league for a forward that is Jake Muzzin JR. The d-man is Rielly's twin brother and leafs definitely don't need that, last year also was Chychrun's first 82 game season.

Would be in July and involve extensions.

I live in ottawa, and norris injuries have them very possibly moving. And either chychrun or Chabot will be gone.

You've never watched either play if you think they're not both excellent players.

I just looking at their track record. Neither guy seems to stay healthy, specially Norris. Now he only played 3 games in 2019-20 which he might have went back to the minors or jr. hockey. In his 4 regular season he has not played more than 66games in a season. Chychrun in 8 seasons has only once played 82games. Their skill level doesn't matter if their not on the ice.

Definite injury issues. Ottawa probably needs to add a high pick because of it. But a top pair D and top 6 centre is an excellent return for marner.
