Rielly is not a top pairing d-man. All he does is pass the puck to great forwards and pickup assists. He brings zero defensive ability and is a major issue against top teams lines. He is also a 2nd unit PP point man because he is a zero threat from the point. This is why the leafs PP is so brutal in the playoffs they zero net presence and no point shot. There perimeter passing doesn't work against playoff teams that have a top 10 PK.
