A trade I actually would really like and then a far fetched idea

Sign Stamkos to a deal far above the AAV he would get a retain half and flip him at the deadline to a contender so he can chase a cup. When you flip, this is when dvorsky could come up and start getting some NHL time. Snuggy comes up after his season.

Ride out D man contracts for 1 more year till NMC drop to M-NMC. Probably ride out the others since that’ll be our timeline and we don’t have great d to replace em yet but maybe get rid of krug.

Would then have
Lindstein, Novikov, In this scenario we draft Yakemchuk with the 11th, draft Freij with 42, and Kebler with 48.

This gives use great young forward and now a solid back end to match it.

Looking at the split of the values, it seems light for Buch however if Hayes is all it takes to move up in the draft

I think Dean should play over Alexandrov, I think Krug plays over Tyler Tucker. I like the idea of signing a big UFA and flipping them at the deadline, but I think that Stammer will take a cheap deal to stay in Tampa Bay. Potentially Toffoli, Monahan or Arvidsson would be a good easy way to get an extra 2nd and 3rd round pick.
