Jeannot has had two awful seasons. I still think there is potential for him to bounce back to at least 25-30 points but that's not a trade I'd make from the Kings side.

I can probably trade Grundstrom and Kaliyev's RFA rights straight up and use those returns to get a better player for the 3rd line

I like Kaliyev and Krebs but, it's one or the other imo. We can keep assets and play someone like Goncalves or Huuhtanen instead. We also don't really need Grundstrom, we just resign Motte instead and again keep assets.

idk grundstrom would be a nice pickup and for cheap, we could also keep motte but tampa needs more gritt on the fourth line not to be cliche but its true, perry-bellemare maroon worked so well because they can bully the opposition and kill time in the corner, motte is a good player but our top 6 is already quite undersized

I get it but, I don't see it that way. We can have a physical team overall without having a gritty 4th. A defensive 4th add more to the team imo. The PK was Top5 in the league last year. Motte is a huge part of it. I also think we should not trade picks if we don't need to. Our prospect pool is already awful. We need to add to it.

Huuhtanen is way faster than Jeannot and also has way more tenacity, a better shot, more skill, and upside in general. Gage isnt fast but skating doesnt limit him

im not saying he's slow, Jeannot isn't that slow either. They just both turn like aircraft carriers
