Description

It is more than likely Kesler and Vatanen will start the season on IR. With that being said, some of the young guys will get a look while they are out.

Depending on how they perform in camp, I think Steel and Jones will both get a 9 game tryout in the NHL to see if they can make it or not. The other player to watch is Julius Nattinen, who could also play with the big club this season. It will be interesting to see who will make this team out of camp.

As much as I think we need either a top 6 winger or center, I also believe this team is set for this season and the future as well.

I don't think Steel or Jones will play in the NHL beyond a few games, but it will be cool to see them play a bit.

I totally agree though. The Ducks do not need to make a play for a top 6 winger. Keep the prospects and picks and continue building from within. I like the core group of youth they have coming up the pipeline

If the top 6 winger, comes cheap I am all for it but don't trade a young guy for a rental player.

I don't think Jones or Steel stays with us either but if they and they perform well, we could have a deadly team come next season.
