If they get Ekblad in the mix Jones is ok to go.

Based on other successful rebuilds, time and patience is key. If we get lucky with the draft and develop our prospects well, we might be able to call the rebuild complete in three years:

2024-25: bottom 7
2025-26: bottom 12
2026-27: bubble team
2027-28: playoffs

My team name might be misleading, perhaps I should have named it this team will win more games in the next 5 years than they will loose haha but I understand what you are saying, this was an attempt to have a new CORE of Bedard, Brady, Marner, Korchinski, Vlassic to surround with system prospects and UfAs year after year.
