I do like Minten and think he'd be a great kid in Tampa, though I'm not entirely sold on moving Paul. Dude's been solid in the middle six for us and doesn't have a horrible contract, I can't see us moving on from him just yet.

If you want to keep stamkos you’ll have to move on from someone.

We got Dean to throw there if we move Hayes (current 3C)

Pay a 5th to move him for FC then maybe. Sure aren't paying you a 4th

A 4th is nothing to pay for a guy that penalty kills very effectively, wins a ton of face offs and it great defensively. St. Louis would do that in a heartbeat. Plus now they have ties with the leafs

Got Perbix, Sheary, and Jeannot to move before we think about moving the 3C that can slot into the top six.

I didn’t know you were a GM😂. Kampf definitely isn’t trash bud. He just killed the world championships and showed his potential. He’s amazing at face offs and is a very good penalty killer. A 4th round pick for that is peanuts. If I was the GM of St. Louis is jump all over that. He is very good but we also have prospects and Holmberg who is very good too that doesn’t make much so we could use that cap space to spend on a d man

Perbix makes 1.1, sheary makes 2 mill and jeanot isn’t waiving his NMC he just got there😂 how much do you think stamkos is going to take, 3.1 mill to stay? You’re out of your mind. You either gotta move Paul, cirrelli or cernak

no where did I say Stamkos takes a discount in that conversation, I know being a Leafs fan only lets you see what you want to see but let's take a step back here. There are reports that Jeannot's been getting attention around the league so I'm more than sure there will be takers on him that can give him a much better chance. Plus, if anyone's out of their mind in our conversation it's clearly the guy offering Anthony Mantha a 5 year deal at 6.5 million and thinking he'll get a third for Connor Timmins 💀💀

Fun fact, you're not a GM either. No one on here is. But we don't have a NEED for Kampf or any of these overpaid dumps Toronto keeps trying to offer us. We are at the point where we are probably more content playing the younger guys and letting them develop than having another player with a bloated contract. Blues pass

I also jot the one getting butthurt commenting on a team someone else made. Toronto and the blues now have ties and having a third line centre that can defend is very essential. That’s basically what 3c’s are supposed to do. First two lines are scoring lines 3rd line is shut down line and 4th line is the energy/ physical line. Blues should accept if they know what’s good for them

Jeanot won’t waive his no move clause I garuntee it. He’s playing in a state where all the money he makes is not taxable. Anthony mantha is about a 5 million dollar player but with the cap going up he’s going to want more of a percentage of the cap. He is like a 60-70 point guy on the first line for sure! That’s worth 6.5 to me. I’d say about a million bucks per 10 points. Connor Timmins was essentially a first round draft pick that is a puck moving right shot defensive defenceman. He’s roundly half a PPG in the NHL. Buddy fan definitely get a 3rd round pick that might not ever even crack and NHL lineup. You gotta lay off that pipe you’re smoking my guy and tune in to more hockey and how it works

Can put Harambe or Joe Biden next to Matthews instead for a cheaper cap hit and odds are you'd see the same point production you're projecting anyways, *guarantee it. Jeannot's got a 16 team list buddy, he's not gonna have to waive it if he's traded somewhere that's not on his 16 team list. You gotta lay off that pipe you’re smoking my guy and tune in to more hockey and how it works!

Only one butthurt is the thread creator that is hurt we aren't accepting this trade. We don't have a need for him at that cap hit. If it was one year left around a million? Then sure, would consider. But multiple years left? No thanks. We already have Hayes (who we need to get rid of), Dean and Sunny (when healthy) as our bottom 6 Center options. We don't need or want another overpaid center. Would much rather have Dean play 3rd line center to develop.

The 16 team list will be all of the bottom teams which will be the only teams that have cap space or who are willing to take on his terrible contract. Tampa also gave up an arm and a leg to get him so trading him for not much would be a dumb move. Again, it’s not happening. Anthony mantha guys very well into the style of play the leafs are after.

Believe me dude, I’m not butthurt at all. I could care less about a loser that takes hours out of his day to comment on someone else’s idea of what they want to see on there team
