Kakko probably fits pretty well in the Islanders system tbh. Problem here is that the Rangers and Isles prob wont wanna be helping each other out. And on top of that I think the Rangers would want someone with more term coming back for Kakko, although the value is there.

Yeah, and you're not winning with him as your top center. Nelson would bump him down, but the person that would actually be scratched is a current 3rd or 4th liner. You need centers and Nelson is probably our best player. He's not going to be cheap. Rentals rarely are. Good rentals almost never are.

Nelson is a 2C, Coyle is a 3C. That doesn't mean Nelson is worth what you listed at 33 years old when we could target Lindholm in FA and he can be a 1C, at worst a 2C
