Don't see Vagas moving Thompson.
Vagas is not "overpaying" here. But they are giving up more than they would want too for Marner I'm sure. Because they are paying for all the retention. At that point they would probably just say screw this.
Even with the bit of retention, I don't see the Leafs wanting to take that Petro contract back as the main piece of a Marner trade. He is just to old and its just too long and for too much money.
CHI is the same. Probably not interested in retaining that long.
