Three-way trade, if Fowler is up for it. We are sending a 2nd; a good young forward, Graeme Clarke, a right-handed center and RW, who has lead AHL in 5v5 scoring over last two seasons; and a dman, Daniil Misyul, who profiles as 6/7 dman. Decent puck skills, plays aggressive, physical game. The 4th is for Max Jones.
Vegas gets higher pick in trade, moving up from #19 to #14; Also, without any picks in rounds 2-5, they add a 3rd rounder here (pick value equivalent of #37 overall pick); they two years of Cam Fowler at same price as McNabb; and clear $5m in Barbashevs salary.
Calgary gets a hard-hitting Russian RHD for down the road. Barabosha is a full-timer as 20-year old for CSKA in KHL, and has recently signed extension…so should step right into lineup as 23-year old. Daws is a young goalie, now playing for Canada at world championships and is waiver exempt. They also move up from #41 all the way to #19, and slides late 2nd in 3rd (in pick values, the net cost of the pick swaps is about equal to a late 1st round pick). So the net price for Markstrom is Barabosha, Daws, and pick exchange equal to #28 pick.
Technically with a 3rd. Not a fan/don’t think Sharks are best trade partner here. If y’all value him that much why not try to mend fences with new coach?

That's probably a viable option....at least it should be
5v5
Dach played mostly with DeBrincat (35%), Kane (27%), Kurashev (27%), Hagel (25%)
Holtz played mostly with Haula (28%), Mercer (25%), Tierney (20%), Lazar (18%)
I don't know what people would put too much stock into Dach in 2020 playoffs...one goal and one secondary assist in five games doesn't seem to be eye-popping numbers. But I don't remember the series.
Sorry I meant his first full playoffs, not just the first series. He had a goal and 5 assists in 9 games. He was playing unbelievable.
And as for the stats you mentioned. Kirby was 1.5 pts/60 in the regular season, 2.1 /60 in the playoffs in his rookie year (also being his draft + 1 year). In the regular season he barely got any time with Kane: https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/players/kirby-dach
Again maybe you were isolating only that first series because I mistyped

One best of 3-game series, four years ago, in a bubble
Not really the playoffs...but okay.
I'm comparing the two players first full seasons. Do you want me to omit the playoffs where people really took notice of how good he was? Fine take that out of it and compare the two players regular seasons. See how many looks he got with Patty Kane then.
Or if you're worried about 4 years ago being ancient history, lets compare both players Draft + 4 years (since that's how long it took Holtz to crack the lineup). Kirby had 10 more points than Holtz in 24 less games.

Kirby Dach D+4: 18 points 5v5, 800 minutes, 600 minutes with suzuki, 550 minutes with caufield
Alex Holtz D+4: 26 points 5v5, 836 minutes: Most common linemates: Haula, Mercer, Tierney, Lazar
I'm sure SJS would have plenty of room to spare on their PP for an elite sniper to get that same treatment of putting up points on PP1.
Patty Kane, Alex Debrincat, Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki. Maybe if we stick Dach with McDavid he can reach 20 poinst when the other team has 5 players on the ice

Yeah, I'll take Gushchin as the PP1 Sniper over Holtz. Gush can actually skate.
And Dach was well on his way past 20 5v5 points with the 24 games he missed. I think it's also funny the lengths you're going to try to convince me that Holtz is better/comparable to Dach, while I stated that Dach was an overpay to begin with. At the end of the day, 28 points in an 82 season will never get you a return like that, especially for an undersized winger who'd a bad skater

Lmao Gushchin still hasn't reached the level holtz was at in 21-22 in the AHL. Be real.
Maybe if they give him the Zetterlund treatment of 18 minutes a night and 300 minutes on the power play.
And again, Holtz has scored at a very high level in the NHL
It seems like the only argument and justification for having only 28 points in 82 games is deployment and powerplay time. So hopefully next year he gets more of both and we can see what he can do.
Same goes for Gushchin. I felt he played well enough to earn a spot in the lineup last season but Grier knows better than I do, so we'll see
