I can't see the Canucks giving up that much to move on from Mikheyev. I think they'd rather just have him back and deal with the cap hit then giving up 2 players I could easily see in their lineup in the next 2-3 years.

I would take Mikheyev if Vancouver sweetens the pot nicely. I'm not sure Ratu is anything more than a marginal prospect these days. Not an option to play 3C next season.

it is an impossible sell to get PIT to take on yet another struggling 5 mil winger.

Just not going to happen. No one in the organization will tolerate that move.

They should have never signed him. He was never the same after the tendon injury.
