Plus I'd add, the Devils aren't going "all in" yet... players like Nemec, Mercer and L. Hughes aren't in their primes yet. Their "all-in" window probably starts in 25-26, if not 26-27

What do you think it would cost for the Devils to get Colton? I like him for the speed and physicality, and feel he would fit in perfectly with the Devs, but I am still trying to find a good trade package for him. I believe Hattaka should be apart of the deal, as he can provide solid two-way play and be a possible cheap Jack Johnson replacement on the bottom pairing.

Honestly I would think the 4th would need to be upgraded to a 3rd. Or give us a 1st and a lower pick (4th rounders down). I'd imagine we would use one of the higher picks you send to find a Colton replacement.

As for Hattaka I don't think his numbers are that impressive and knowing the Avs system he would probably just get stuck playing for the Eagles. I would maybe instead consider sending Kevin Bahl, mostly because he has much more experience. If we got Bahl, a trade proposal I would have would be Colton for a 2nd, a 4th, and Bahl.

So yeah I would accept your original trade if you swap Bahl for Hattaka lol

I'm going to decline the Avs trade into non-existence. Since the Nuke issue I no longer believe there is any chance of Colton being available bar an overpay. That isn't one.
