Carolina recoups some value by trading Andersen for a 3rd round pick or a second with some prospect bundling.

Gets a goalie who statistically has a very good GsaX/60 over the past 100 games played. Carolina’s defensive structure is likely better than Boston’s. Lysell is a talented kid who’s done well in Providence and probably warrants a chance.

Necas is an interesting fit for the Bruins. A lot of this hedges on what Carolina’s leadership thinks of Ullmark and Lysell. The fact that Friedman is saying they are pursuing him is a plus.

I feel like that's too much AAV for Necas but I feel like he could fit in here.

I wonder if he could play LW with Zacha and Pasta, but I like Lindholm with Pasta based on how well Lindholm plays with better linemates, Czech line would be nice if possible tho

yea it's a very weird situation, he's bad on defense and we got no idea how well he does on faceoffs, I'm fine getting Necas only if we get Elias Lindholm

I don’t particularly care about 3rd or 4th round picks, but when I look at Ullmark, Lysell, and a 2nd … I view that as better than RFA comp based on Lysell’s upside.

I doubt either side would hold up a deal because of a 3rd or 4th or an equivalent prospect

6.5 is probably a shorter contract. I was just going by AFP Analytics, but maybe that is too much

Yea I wonder if Sweeney thinks he has room for Necas and Lindholm with all the deals up next year. Maybe it’s more likely to be Necas + Stephenson or Lindholm + Debrusk/Bert/Toffoli. So closer to 13.5 for 2 than 15.

Personally I think that’s why he hasn’t signed DeBrusk. It’s a tough play, because you’d probably like 2.5M of Ullmark’s salary to be expiring
