No interest. If we're going to have a perimeter playing playmaking winger, we'd rather keep the one who costs half as much.

I get that you said no which is fine. Marner Is wayyyyyyy better than Zegras and I don't know how quickly I lob those two in the same category or even playstyle.

He's not twice as good. His current contract he's already overpaid, his next one will be a problem.

You're right, he's probably more than twice as good. Zegras' value is in free fall right now, he played terribly this year. I doubt the leafs would want to do this.

Cool story bro. He's a 23 year old who had his season derailed by injuries, he'll be fine next year, and unlike Toronto, were under no pressure to make a change.

I get what your saying but Anaheim was rumored big time of already looking in to moving him at the deadline until he got hurt. Marner isn't great in the playoffs which every Toronto fan will tell you that, as every Toronto fan would also tell you he is a dawg in the regular season and very good at defense, which is why it is hard for toronto fans not see this team work out. We haven't always wanted him gone.

Those rumours are entirely a result of Frank Seravalli stirring **** up and media outlets running with it, he's also said Gibson will be traded for the last 6 years, going so far as to decree Gibson would never suit up again for Anaheim. As far as reliable sources go, he's not one.

I didn't say Toronto fans have always wanted him gone, I said Toronto needs to make a change, because there's been 6 years of trying this core out and it doesn't work. Matthews and Nylander are staying. Tavares won't waive to be moved, Mitch is the odd man out.

That Gibson stuff was so funny once John came out and said nah. I've been caught about Tavares, I've accepted he will stay and I'm actually ok with it cause next I want to resigning date he won't be asking for more and I wouldn't mind him retiring a leaf. I have been one that has said Marner needs to go for a while now especially after Nylander extended, that being said I am seeing way to much hate for this player, he will undoubtedly make your team(anyteam) better. The number is the issue, but there are systems around the league that he would thrive in that will make him worthy of that number IMO.
