How does NSH trade Petterson to VAN?

Preds don't need another defenseman but rather more scoring power. They lost Neal, Fisher and Wilson this last season and while Bonino and Hartnell are good I think NASH could use another big time forward.

He is the brother of Elias Petterson. But he is 24 and nothing special. In reality let Elias build the chemistry with Dahlen and that should work fine. Though I think Nashville would say no. I'm down for the trade minus Emil

Losing Neal definitely hurts, but Bonino and Hartnell are solid players and I resigned Fisher in this scenario. Add in the development of the younger forwards on the roster, plus the fact that Kamenev, Trenin and Gaudreau would push for roster spots, and I think the forward core will be fine.

The point of the trade was to take the D core from great to dominant. Tanev would actually make a great partner for Josi, and you could mix up the pairings based on the situation. An Eckholm-Tanev pair would probably be the best shutdown duo in the league.
