A lot of the top 9 can be organized in different ways with so much talent... I'm sure Jimbo will love that

I think the Lauko experiment is over, he has a lot of energy and brings physicality but if we bring Bert back and have guys like Maroon and Brazeau who are massive staples, I don't see Lauks fitting anymore especially with his lack of scoring.

Ullmark is almost bound to be gone, nixing a trade at the TDL only means its bound to happen this summer, where he goes doesn't matter much, hopefully the return is a first.

Hopefully a 1st + Lysell is enough for Rossi, I have a feeling it won't be and we might have to throw Merkulov into the deal, which I'd be fine with if it came to that.

Liked Geekie's play but he is just a cap casualty with the amount of middle 6 players we have (Poitras, Coyle, Freddy, Zacha)

Bussi is 100% the guy who should be the 2G. He has proven himself with his AHL numbers, he has outperformed himself in pre-season games, and he is coming for an NHL gig whether it is with the B's or not. Hopefully he's the guy to come up.

I think Maroon deserves a full-time roster spot but I'm not sure if he gets that with the Bert and Heinen signings. Good news about that, however, is that we have plenty of talented top-9 scorers considering Heinen slots in on the 4th line.

I thought Ian Mitchell's play was completely NHL caliber and he is very capable of playing a 3rd pairing role when needed.

It's good to have lots of extra cap space for the TDL, this team's youth is also going to get some good paydays in the future (Rossi, Lohrei, Bussi(?), Freddy(?)) so it's safe to keep some extra cap for those circumstances.
