Seattle passes. They're not giving up on their top prospect for that offer.

You aren't getting Marco Rossi for at best a B or C type prospect who does nothing for Wild. Marcus Foligno has a full NMC and four-year extension which hasn't even started.

Casey was one of the top dmen in the NCAA last season and projects between a first line D and Star D… his point totals are hilarious and he actually plays defense.. tbh I’d never do that trade from NJ’s standpoint, Rossi looks more like a 3C than anything rn

Casey is small which bill guerin hates. Respectfully, Casey hasn't accomplished anything in the NHl like Rossi and Center's always have more value than D. Beside the point. Rossi success in the NHL so far means he has more value. College success doesn't always translate to NHL

Rossi has accomplished nothing at the NHL level so far man.. he has the same stock Alex Holtz does right now, their career totals are almost identical. Would you rather in a trade, Alex Holtz or Zeev Buium? Because that’s the logic you just used

Rossi has accomplished more than Alex and has more value than him right now. Points are everything that tells the story. How's the logic I am using. Never once disrespected your player. All i said was college players and the point they had on their team in college doesn't always translate especially for a DMan. That's all. He's also small so he will have to get adapted to the strength of the NHL so he will need time

I don’t blame you for wanting to hang on to Rossi. All good there. Casey’s size really isn’t as much of a problem as some think. Cale Makar, Adam Fox, and Quinn Hughes all have the same physical attributes. Seamus is a really exciting prospect with an expanding ceiling.

The issue is you think Casey is Buium and that is questionable at best.

I believe Seamus can be a good, maybe even a great player. But much like the trouble Jared spurgeon has been having, Adam Fox has this season, Quinn Hughes had last season, smaller players get targeted and are prone to injuries. Also Dman in general from College, even ones scores alot of points, need time to get adjusted to the NHL and having to face Men in the NHL, players who are bigger then them. Let's see how much time he needs to gets adjusted as it's not easy for any Dman to just come and dominate in the NHL

Michigan has a pretty damn good track record of their guys translating:

See, Werenski, Hughes, Hughes, Power, York, Trouba, etc.

What if the 2nd was replaced with the 2025 1st?

I dunno actually. I think if the Caps were looking to get anything from the Devils in a deal involving Fehervary, it would be Holtz. But Daws+Gritsyuk+25 1st is good value too. Personally, I'd hold onto Fehervary and Malenstyn and use them as pieces of the re-tool in DC, but that's just me.

I’d be willing to move Holtz in a deal for Fehevary for sure. Fehevary feels like exactly what NJD needs
