If I have to keep Smith I keep Smith. What I don't want is extending out a contract for 2 years on a guy who isn't very good.
He's a bottom 6 guy and the penguins have a whole lot of bottom 6 forwards who are prospects and a 2 guys who look like top 6 to middle 6 guys.
I'd much rather play the youth at this point than waste my time and cap on Joseph

Fair enough. I figure Dubas loves his former Senators and may want to re-unite the Josephs. Might not be a perfect fit though. Personally I'd rather keep Joseph, but it's rumored he may be moved.
