He can try to cup chase but theres too much parody to be sure. Vegas was a lock last year now theyre bounced in the 1st round. Winnipeg was a lock in December they got bounced in the first round. Edmonton might get beat by an AHL goalie. Etc

Can you explain why Florida would consider trading Bennett? The guy is tough as nails and a bit of a unicorn in this league. He's also the right age for their group who are in their competitive window right now. Why would they trade any important roster player for an unproven prospect and a 2nd round pick?

All true, but Bennett is not the guy you trade. He brings everyone into the fight. The Panthers are gonna need defense, not forwards because Montour is as good as gone.
