mctavish straight up for marner is a very easy no from the ducks. not too mention why would marner waive to go there in a contract year? regardless of what the leafs want its in marner best interest to remain in toronto ride this year out hopefully close in or surpass 100 points and either get paid by the leafs or hit free agency as the prize of the available forwards.

Why would Anaheim trade a 21 year old top six center for a guy a year from free agency? And then add two quality assets to it?

Sorry guys but Mctavish has put up 80 points in two seasons and is rather injury prone to start his career. He’s got potential but Marner for Mctavish straight up is crazy for one of the best playmakers in the game. Gudas has a 10 team ntc and I’m pretty sure after one year of failure on Anaheim he’s ready to join any playoff team. The only point you guys are right on is the location. Marner probably would not waive his NMC for this but it was worth the thought. Even if it’s 1 year this draws so many eyes to Anaheim for a year and maybe lands you guys a big free agent. Wouldn’t that be a nice change.
