I honestly think the only way you’re getting Marner is a 1st PLUS one of the big 2 prospect forwards (Kulich/Savoie) or you’re coughing up Power straight up. His contract is obv a concern but you’re not getting him for pennies

i agree with you - good thing Buffalo could hypothetically afford to do that.
toronto fans are just firing him into the sun, just buying low.

Skinner is the better player. Couture could be done playing hockey.

i made this under the assumption that Couture is not done, obviously.
skinner being the better player is debatable. buffalo shouldn't want him in their top 6 and i would assume he will be real pissy playing on the 3rd line.
he is a one trick pony...

I think they are going to have him on the 4th line playing with Krebs with Kulich and Rosen. He wasn’t playing in the top 6 towards the end of this year.

your lineup above shows why a Couture for Skinner swap makes sense in theory.
buffalo would need a 3rd line center and paying $9m for a 4th liner makes zero sense.
especially when Skinners only skill is putting the puck in the net - not going to happen much on the 4th line.

They don’t want a long term commitment to a 3c they are waiting for one of savoie, Ostlund, Kulich or Wahlberg. They will look for a cheap 1 year contract to fill that hole or not even fill it.

Disagree
Point of this website is to have discussion with other hockey fans
But posting trades that just aren’t gonna happen doesn’t lead to any meaningful discussion

If u wanna waste your time go nuts
But I’d image you’ll get better convo the more realistic your trade proposals get

maybe you shouldn't take things so serious. seem a bit wound up for no reason.
don't imply that this is a serious website in which all users make well informed hockey trades "for discussion".
99% of the proposed trades on this site aren't going to happen, my post is no different.

buffalo wins more games with Couture on their roster (hurt or not) over Skinner.
also, have fun with Lindy - nothing like taking a step forward to take two more back.
