You can only sign Tavares for 7 years and he will get more then $9.5 million try more like 7 years $77 million give or take.

8 years would be for the Islanders to sign him, Any other team it's 7 years unless it's a sign and trade deal.

Contract will obviously be part of the trade talks. Even a sign and trade is possible. Also 10 years is good, because at that same time, Price and Weber come off the books. So you can essentially rebuild, or start a new era etc. But thanks for commenting guy!
