I'm of the opinion that trading Binnington in any fashion would mean a complete tear down of the team. He steals games often. Husso hasn't been great in Detroit and that first would potentially be a very late 1st if Binny is there.

I get it and I highly doubt he's moved this year. I'd be shocked. I thought it might be a fit with DET and Husso could "pinch hit" during the retool until Hofer is ready for 50+ games a year.

Calgary won't trade down from 9th OA and Carter Yakemchuk probably goes around 9th OA maybe sooner anyhow. No way he'll still be on the board at 17th.

Calgary will likely take Iginla or Yakemchuk at 9th if either one is still on the board. If both are still on the board it's a tough choice, if neither are still available then it'll have to be someone else.

If you trade Binner you might as well trade Buch and CP55

Not trading a first for a goalie. DET will continue with plugs until Cossa/Augustine are ready.
