This might have been the Leafs best game since idk but it's been a while. Sammy was great, making huge saves and that is what the Leafs needed here tonight. Props to Ullmark who also had an unreal game. But the first I loved the intesity the Leafs played with, I didn't love the McCabe penalty, Kampf's brain fart or the goal that resulted though. Good work by the top line to answer right back though. And that goal with 8 seconds was so predictable and I don't even know. Bert high sticking but it works out and JT gets a PP goal. What a pass my Domi to Matthews to seal the deal.
I really complaints about this one, much more sound then Game 1. The PP actually wasn't bad today and outside of the first one you can say the same about PK. The top line played so much better this game than the last and many chances were created. I am glad Knies got to play second line because he was pretty good, what I love is that he got sat on his ass probably 3-4 times this game and everytime he gets up and gives it his all for the rest of the game. If Willy for some reason isn't back I am okay with Holmberg staying in but assuming he returns I'd probably take him out. Roby had so many opportunities this game but just couldn't beat Ullmark. I loved the 4th line this game, especially in the first and just felt like constant forcheck and that is what lead to the first goal. As for the defence, it was pretty solid but I wasn't liking Lyubushkin tonight. Sammy was unstoppable and I think we know who is in for game 3 on Wednesday. Overall very good game and the only thing is just discipline because some of these penalties are iffy.
