I think the Sabres would rather keep Byram
Sabres should go after Rasmus Andersson as they have the draft capital and prospects to pull it off

And it would take more to get Byram right now. This is just the wrong trade partners lining up

Buffalo already has 25 million committed for the next 7 years to 3 LD. Already looking at the most expensive dcore in the NHL, before adding byrams big boy contract, or another dmans too. They probably can't even afford to keep Joker this year, no more d needing big contracts are going to be added without someone big going out.

I think Joker will be traded at the draft as they need RHD and veteran goalie to push either Levi or Luukkonnen to get better to take that next step and make the playoffs

Why would 1 of 2 RD be traded, if they need a RD?Wouldn't it make more sense to move the one LD, not signed for 7 years? 6k already had a breakout season, and Levi had a strong year in the AHL, and decent NHL games closer to the end of the year, once the defensive system was cleaner. I don't think they need or are looking for a veteran goalie

The last thing Buffalo could possibly need is to grab another Eric Comrie. Luukkonen has more than proven himself as #1, and Levi will be given the chance to be the 1B to his 1A, and probably play 30 to 35 games next year.

Comrie was supposed to be a goalie with more "untapped potential ready to take that next step". Instead he looked really good behind WPG's Defense, and not so much behind BUF's. Depending on what GMKA thinks of Levi right now, he is either rolling with UPL & Levi next year or else leaving Levi in ROC and signing a Talbot/Anderson type backup.

As for D, they need a RHD to play with Power. Dahlin likes the right side with Byram on the left. Then Sammy & Joker are a stud 3rd pairing - both of whom can play up when needed. If anything Clifton is the one likely to get moved, though he did play better as the year went on. Then RyJo is the first call up from ROC
