Mini mock draft

If Catton is there, the Flames don’t pass. Centers are what we need currently. With guys like Bruz and Poirier in the system, there’s not much need for Dickinson.

I would prefer Catton for the Flames as well, but Dickinson feels like a Hanifin type player so I kinda get it. Also Calgary values size in their picks.

I feel that you guys have a lot at center that are there for long term. Rebuild the defence first and center will come later

Honestly I'd be pretty annoyed if the Sens pick Yakem over Catton, Buium, Dickinson, or even Silayev. Yes we need RD badly but he's just not better than any of those players in my eyes, and at 7th OA please just take BPA over need. If Parekh or Lev are gone I just want BPA.

I wish we had a lot at center. We have Zary… then Lipinski? Klapka? Zary may end up as LW as well. Klapka also started as RW last game. Honzek has produced significantly less at C than on the wing. We need Centers really badly.

Kadri? Backlund? I know they’re old, but it can wait

Realistically Catton, or whoever we pick will be 1-2 maybe more years out. By then, Backs will have finished his contract, and Kadri will be taking his spot as 3C. The only guy I see making the team in less than a year is Celebrini if we somehow get 1st overall.
