And what power does he have to enforce that demand? Sit out and not make 7.15 million per? Play like s**t so he gets nothing his next contract? He's got no leverage. And it's utterly assinine to think he'd be so immature and stupid.
He's from St.Louis area so he demands a trade to Montreal ? Sounds kinda assinine to me.

he hasn't yet, and certainly wont if the don't end up moving.

When players demand a trade they get traded 100% of the time. No team wants a player who doesn’t want to play for their team.

They’re moving. It’s confirmed and I think this would be pretty close.

They're absolutely not giving them away if they do and with those contracts that's what it is

According to Brian Lawton Marty St Louis went into his office and demanded a trade multiple times during his tenure as TB GM St.Louis spent an additional 4 years with Yzerman as GM .
According to Jay Feaster in 2002 Vinny LeCavelier went into his office regularly demanding a trade or Torts be fired until one time he said and I'll quote him "I sat Vinny down and explained I may not know what my Legacy as TB Lightning GM Will be, however I can guarantee you what it won't be that of the GM that traded Vincent LeCavelier, nor will it be of the GM that fired John Tortorella." So No they don't 100% of the time. There are just 2 examples of players not getting the trade they demanded. I'm sure they aren't the only 2 in league history.

Times have changed. Players have more power now. Players that demand a trade get traded 100% of the time.

You brought up your facts from the year 2000 lol. No team wants players that don’t want them. I guess you could try to convince the player to stick around, but if they want out they get out.
