  1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2026 (PIT)
Détails additionnels:
At first blush the price for this package might seem steep based on draft pedigree. That said, I tend to ignore the opinions of people who make calls on prospects based on draft pedigree more than a year after they have been selected/signed. More than anything, it tells me they have not actually viewed the player in question and are basing their opinion on outdated information or the opinions of others who are doing the same.

I've watched about 40 games of the Marlies (if not more) this season alone. I know what they have down there and how they compare to what other teams have. If you want a serious hockey discussion about what they do and don't do, I'll engage. You want to shoot one line trolls based on nothing but ill informed hot takes I won't
PIT
  1. Kämpf, David
  2. Niemelä, Topi
  3. Steeves, Alex
Détails additionnels:
Dubas is on record as saying he prefers ready to play prospects as opposed to draft picks, likely because of the window of contention he has to deal with in Pittsburgh. Kampf is the type of player that soaks up PK time and cycles excellently but the meat of the deal are the two other players. On a deep Toronto roster Steeves and Niemela would have a hard time finding a spot They would play for the Pens immediately. Given that Steeves has a shot that consistently finds the net from the top of the circles, the likelihood that he finds middle six + PP time is high. Niemela would be the natural successor to Letang as he has the same technician type of game the veteran does.

For me, Idk. I would consider moving our current 1st (which will probs be like 8-10) for someone like Keller or Zegras and then giving SJ our 25 1st. I like Robertson, but I dont think he is enough to warrant a high 1st.

I've got the Pens somewhere between 10 and 15. I admit, the package is not enough for a top ten pick, but I do not think that is what the Pens pick will be.
Marcsnack a aimé ceci.

a first round pick for a 4th liner, an undrafted player and a future 3rd guy.

For a team that's very close to a rebuild lol.

Awful

So I'm going to assume you missed this part of the trade explanation:

"I tend to ignore the opinions of people who make calls on prospects based on draft pedigree more than a year after they have been selected/signed. More than anything, it tells me they have not actually viewed the player in question and are basing their opinion on outdated information or the opinions of others who are doing the same.

Niemela is a third pairing guy as long as Letang and Karlsson are there. How long do you think that will be?
