I like it. Killer defence with an overpower offence, the only weak spot I see is the team is lacking a bit in terms of replacements in case of injuries.

There is still just over $3M left, so even if the cap doesnt change Edmonton can still keep all of their RFA's.

I would also switch Lucic and Ths Drake because Cagguila can keep up with Connor, and big Looch will keep small Yamamoto safe from all the big scary players out there.

That's a good idea. Could help mentor him to. They're both fiesty. Lucic would literally kill anyone who goes after Yamamoto ! I know that's what I was worried about to I dunno maybe we can trade Russell during deadline or something

I really like your moves. This is really one of the only blockbuster trades of this caliber that are pretty even and don't completely wreck a team cap wise. Good job.

Wow, well done! Out of curiosity though, could you sell me on your WPG trade from the Jets' perspective? Why would they do this trade, as opposed to staying pat?

Well for one I didn't think trouba wanted to stay there and having McDavid as a go to and he can run our top powerplay and swallow top minutes maybe he'd enjoy that. The jets need left d (at least that what they were asking for earlier) as for schief and Drai I believe this wuld be okay because Drai is just a bit younger and would be there first line centre just like schief is but for schief he wouldn't have all that pressure in Edmonton as he would be second line centre I essentially threw in Caleb Jones and a first and second as a sweet because trouba is better then nurse but also they get a very young LHD prospect who is showing a good promise for their farm system to develop also threw in the picks because schief has a very friendly cap hit overall I thought it was very good value wise each side

I don't mind it, but that's a lot to ask of Benson. He can't stay healthy at the WHL level, so I don't think he can stay healthy at the bigger, faster, more physical NHL level.

I don't know I think he will be able to crack the NHL injury plague players but they also motivate them benson is a hell of a hockey player I can see him playing either one more year in the W or play in the AHL this year and get his motivation bsck and crack the big club next year with his skill and speed

Ya, it's all about being healthy. He's played less then half of the games in his last two WHL seasons. He still manages to be close or above a point per game player, but I just have a sneaking suspicion that injuries won't let him flourish with the Oilers. I'd like to see him succeed though!
