dont think flordia will trade their starter whos been great since the playoffs last year. Especially with the uncertainty behind knight these days.

Hawks say no. A first & a second are not enough to take on Campbell & Broberg.

To be honest, I would look at it as Broberg, a 1st and a 2nd to take on Campbell. Broberg had his struggles I suppose, but the Oilers have been a win now team for at least a few seasons, and Broberg is still just a 22 year old D-man. He's been much, much better for their AHL affiliate this season (23 points and +15 in 34 games) and, at least according to an article or two I read some time before the deadline by some pundits, Broberg may be "NHL ready" or "near NHL ready" .. I'd take the flyer on him as the Hawks... if you're giving nothing up, then embrace Broberg and two picks, and just bury Campbell in the minors if you have to. You have the cap space.

That said, the Panthers won't be giving up Bobrovsky during their Cup window. Not until Knight can show he's there for good, and good enough to get it done.

Broberg wants out of Edmonton & everyone knows it . This plus him being sent down, healthy scratched & not getting a ton of minutes when he is in the lineup severely diminish his trade value.
Yes, he still has time to turn things around & yes the Hawks (or some other team) may be willing to take a flyer on him, but that does not mean he would be adding positive value in a trade package.

It might be.... that's a hefty price, but would be worth it IMHO...
