Islanders need to buyout Lee. He can't keep up with the top six and is paid way too much money to play bottom 6.

I'm giving Iskhakov every chance to break in to the top 6, but if he's not cut out send him down and move every LW up a line.

Sprong (4x$4M) is all offense and puts up great numbers in 4th line minutes + power play time. Great add even though Detroit might look to keep him, and is a long term Palmieri replacement. Makes more sense for islanders than a big Guentzel signing imo.

Duclair (1x$3M) is having a down year, (on pace for like 30 points before his big game with SJS). Familiar with Roy's system and brings speed. Give him a 1 year deal to see if he works out and to make sure there is enough money to resign Dobson+Romanov next year.

Beauvillier (1x$1M) has struggled to find a home, but is best friends with Barzal and close with the rest of the team. Bringing him in to boost morale after the buyout of the captain, and also for Iskhakov insurance. If Isk can't stick, Beau can play up and down the lineup (not at all a top six forward but at least he's familiar with how the Islander's top 6 plays). Plays with speed and if he's in a bottom 6 role with Cizikas/MacLean, hopefully he can regain his form as a quick forechecker.
