Description

If everything worked out perfectly this is what I would do.
Trade for Hanifin’s signing rights at draft once Vegas realizes they can’t get a deal done.
Sign Stamkos for a deal that has more term but is a little cheaper AAV.
Buyout Sheary and save what you can. Trading his contract away would probably cost too much.
Trade away two of the right handed defensemen. If they could move Cernak that would free up a lot of cap space. For this I targeted a player in Maccelli that has term and could slot right in to the top 6. Perbix is moved for a draft pick as Crozier should be in the lineup.
Convince the top NCAA free agent Colin Graf to sign and put him directly in the lineup.
Give Howard a chance to provide some offense on a heavy line.
In my dream world this is a fun skilled lineup.

I would need something like the Mitts-Byram swap to consider moving him. Maccelli’s passing is just absurd and his defense is underrated. I like Cernak, but he’s a defensive D and we don’t have an offensive or two way guy on the left that would make him viable to use on the top pair. He’d likely land on the 2nd pair behind Durzi, and there’s not enough value in that for me to move Maccelli
