It is enough for Buch and the retention. Think they would prefer a D prospect but this would do. Blues like Hayes though even if he is not producing so he’s not free. This prob covers it though. AGM here shows this as a 24-25 roster. Not sure this works for Rangers cap in current year.

Never did I say anywhere he's worth a first. Sure he's worth a 3rd unretained, but if you want retention I can see that ending up getting a first if the Blues sent a 5th as well. Retention isn't cheap, especially for multiple years

I get retention cost value... it's floating around army want two first for buch, add retention and Hayes, add another first roughly... saying this barely gets buch is asinine.

The two firsts for Buch is just the starting price. Assuming not including any retention. The Blues don't have to trade him away, let alone retain, unless it's an offer that blows them away. Othman and 2 firsts is great, but it doesn't address the need for defensive prospects which we could get elsewhere with similar value to this offer
