I think it would take an overwhelming package to get Novak out of Nashville now. He's the best secondary scorer we have, and supposedly contract negotiations are close to being done.

I don’t think Drury would even need to be included in the Buchnevic trade. And that’s not enough for Novak, I think they’d need one of those 2nds to be a 1st

Novak has been extended in NSH they just haven’t announced it yet. He’s not a target.

Replace Drury with KK and get it done.

Folks, Buch is not a UFA and the Blues are the opposite of motivated sellers. The standard "good UFA offer to a rebuilder" is not going to cut it.

Fair enough. To be honest, I’m not sure the team who’s going to give you one of their top 2 prospect, a 1st rounder, and a young center with long term.

You say it like the Blues would consider KK and his contract a plus, but I cannot imagine them doing so. But again, there are UFAs no better than Buch who fetch a 1st and top prospect all the time. And like I said, he's not for sale. He's not being offered around. They do not want to lose him. That is very different to a player on the block. This is not shopping in Nordstrom Rack, it's Rodeo Drive. The price tag is gonna hurt. A lot.

High end piece at a bargain AAV, very low supply, high demand complete with some desperation, an unmotivated seller, and probably asking for retention and/or a contract offload = dollar dollar bills, yo. Basic economics.
