Leddy only has 2 years left Krug and Faulk 3, it’ll suck but hopefully they can trade them retained next year

I wouldn’t mind Wahlstrom coming to STL but he’s probably another Vrana situation. Young forward with upside who doesn’t take a step forward.

Next year before the Avs most likely resign drouin if they were offered this it would give them an ultimatum between keeping a younger and cheaper drouin who Mack loves or bringing in Saad who is older and more expensive and also costs an additional 2nd rounder so while the trade does make pretty good sense I think the Avs keep it in house and keep Drouin

Actually, no it's not. The biggest weakness of this team is garbage decisions with the puck, and a large portion of those are not by defensemen. And most of those that are, they're mostly Krug.

That said, any Blues AGM that does not touch the top 4 LDs is null and void.

Avs decline and keep the second and re-sign Drouin under this premise.
