Really? What about it? Did I overpay to dump RyJo or do we just want no part of Allen?

Rico trade is good but Allen trade not really a fan of. I think Montreal isn’t willing to take on RyJo and the price to dump him seems to be a third and maybe a little more and in this case it would be like dumping RyJo and a 4th for Allen retained and I feel Montreal would rather do a 5th for Allen from another team. Also I don’t think Allen is a great option he has been pretty awful this year

Habs need a center tho. If there's any team that you can look at and say dumping RyJo there should be cheaper, it's Montreal. I do agree that Allen isn't the best but we all know Montreal will more likely than not be moving him and Colorado needs another goalie. I would assume they would just offer him back. If he's it, he's it. Or what? Gonna pay a 2nd for Ned or someone else?

Allen simply isn't good and even with 50% retention the extra year eats into the Avs cap and any chance they have of adding a 2C next year.
