The Kings can't afford another seven-figure bottom six forward.

The not the jeannot trade but everything else I think is best case. This teams a lot younger and faster w more depth than any roster we’ve played this year

I’d rather sign a hanifin for 7 than Sean walker for 5

So would I however this isn't a binary situation. There are more than 2 options.

I don’t think any of them besides Thompson or crozier are nhl ready. I’d also want the guys above to play over them

No obviously but they are the best 2 top 4 d men available this offseason that can also be acquired at this tdl

yes but, there are a few guys they could pick from in FA rather than try to win a bidding war at the TDL. Pesce, Forsling, Skjei, Roy, Tanev, DeMelo alongside Hanifin and Walker are all good options

Still would like to see better numbers or atleast a good trading camp b4 we pencil him in to a role similar to what merela got

Depending on how camp goes I could see some of Duke, Huuhtanen, Goncalves, Groshev, and/or Thompson on the team with Howard being a long shot

better training camp? He was the best player in the entire Southeast rookie showcase tournament demolishing all of Florida, Carolina, and Nashville and then preceeded to be one of the best players in the preseason along with hagel, cirelli and eyssimont. The reason his numbers suck is because they play him on the 3rd line and at some point in the season they made him stop cheating up as far when they are in their own zone which normally I would say thats fine but groshevs speed puts him in a position where he can cover both the defenseman and cheat for breakaways at the same time. Instead now they have him blocking passing lanes essentially being a defensive center but at wing. Hes also on neither PP unit

Don’t think we will see duke or Niko jump right to the nhl definitely will see a little bit of ahl time first. Gage is on this team I made. There will always be openings with injury or just opportunity for these young guys if they play well

I agree its unlikely either of duke or Huuhtanen make the team out of camp but thats personally what I would prefer and yes I saw gage and thompson on your team I just added them to encompass all of the prospects. I also would have picked other FAs to sign than Roslovic and Beauvillier, like Blueger and Lafferty would be better imo

I want guys that need a bounce back year, lafferty is too expensive and burger plays a similar role to motte on the defensive side

lafferty would sign for like 1.5 here, the AFP analytics have him signing for $1,723,500 x 2yrs. Blueger is a bit better than motte offensively but I would also just be fine resigning motte. I think it depends on the type of player that needs a bounceback like I would give a chance to Barabonov but not Beauvillier

yes but he was actually having AHL success before they ruined him. He had 8 goals and 5 assists in the first 13 games playing on the 3rd/4th line. He has the most raw potential out of any of the prospects, his skating is elite and is one of the best forecheckers I have seen in awhile. If they played him on the old 2nd line that was Goncalves-Robert-Chaffee he would have had way more points than Chaffee and would be in the NHL right now
