Lines would look different if Landy isn't good enough to play 2C but obviously he wouldn't count against the cap. Ryan Johansen just hasn't looked very good and I don't think getting rid of him would have any locker room repercussions. Did some math and Kovalenko's KHL point production would put him in the middle 6. From what I've gathered on him, similar game to miles wood but with better point production. Sean walker adds depth and while Georgiev's numbers this year have been slightly due to bad luck, he has been inconsistent this season for sure and I just don't feel as confident as I should with him as starter going into playoffs. Colorado's goals against/game is in the bottom half of the league (I think mostly because of Georgiev unfortunately) so hopefully the added solid 3rd pairing d man and proven playoff performer goalie, as well as another middle sixer in Kovalenko (has been playing some center in the KHL) and kind of a wild card in terms of where he'll be at in Landeskog, should add some really good injury assurance and bring down that GA/G. If Landeskog comes back at full strength and they make these moves or similar ones, I genuinely think it's over for the rest of the league.

I'd say the chances of Landy being back for the playoffs are nearer to "none" than they are to "slim" so you can forget about that. I would not trade a 1st just to get rid of Joey.

Definitely not nearer to none. There is definitely a chance he comes back for playoffs although it would almost certainly be in a bottom 6 role. Even if he doesn't, I am in no way concerned about our offence going into playoffs. As for Joey that's not trading a 1st just to get rid of him, it's giving minnie a bump up in the order of selection by about 15-25 spots for Fleury, and Ry Jo basically just to make the cap work, to add a little value as he isn't a useless player and I don't think he fits on this team.

Walker is better physically and defensively which I think the avs need more of than a tiny bit more offensive upside. Malinski is a good player though and I like his game don't get me wrong.
