Kings wouldn’t do Clarke for Saros 1 for 1 let alone with these complimentary pieces

Kings aren’t that desperate for a goaltender. Yes they need one but as it stands but Talbot and Rittich are getting paid 80% less than Saros and both are currently out shining Saros so keep the guy till his contract expires or embrace a quick rebuild and get a realistic package for him. As much as NSH would love to get something like this for him they won’t get anything close to this from any team other than maybe Toronto or Edmonton and that’s only because they have super stars with contracts ending in the near future not because Saros is worth a package like this.

Clock is ticking on Kopitar and Doughty’s productivity and young guys like Byfield won’t be on entry level deals forever. Saros is a perfect fit for them to take two legit shots at the Cup. They have enough depth at RHD to part ways with Clarke to make that happen.
