Probably an overpay for Guentzel. But canucks are going for it, once Guentzel is back from injury he immediately bolsters that top 6 and with the future of Petey still up in the air and whether or not he wants to commit to the canucks for short or long term or at all, canucks then have 2 back up options with Lindholm and Guentzel to replace the offense and what Petey brought to the canucks. The trade could happen well before the deadline, mikheyev hasn't really fit with the canucks and it's starting to show as he's bouncing around between lines again. Hes a good player and doesnt make many mistakes, hes just not the type of player the canucks seem to need right now. He could get a restart in Pittsburgh and maybe find some spark with malkin. Still gives Pittsburg a decent player and maybe still a shot at the playoffs, if they are gonna loose Guentzel anyways to free agency,might as well get some decent value back. A legit top 6/9 player in Mikheyev, plus a good nhl ready player in podz..and then the 2 high draft picks.
