I do like the sounds of that for sure. However, it has been said the cost for Tanev is at minimum a 2nd. Another 1st round pick to try for a certain someone in the Flames is better to trade with and get that certain young kid who's dad will help him bring a cup home to the north. (Toronto is also not doing as well as Vancouver so that 1st might have more value 🤷)

Supposedly the Flames have been asking for a second plus for Tanev, not necessarily a first. Since Toronto doesn't have a second they would have to give a up a first round pick, but reports suggest Treliving would want an additional piece for that price.

you dont have a clue MOX of course the flames take the 1st.but the leafs have no cap space and Murray Edwards will have to pay half of Tanevs salary for the rest of the season,as well as take Lagesson to make this work.Mox you are not the last word on the flames,Conroy isnt charging the leafs a tax,but he will hold out for a 1st with 50 percent retention.
