Just Jake would cost the Rangers way more than he would a team from outside the division... and then you'd have to pay more for retention. Jake from Pittsburgh, with 3 mil retaied would cost you at least 2 firsts, and Kakko, then add some to that to cover the retention.

Even if you added a 1st that Guentzel trade is weak.

Kakko isn't even an added value to the trade. It's almost a negative at this point.
