With Patrick Roy's increased trust in Wahlstrom, I think that as of right now, he might not be the number 1 trade piece the islanders have now. Wahlstrom has played two games under roy and they have already been the best of his season. The first was an OT loss to the Florida Panthers, however despite the loss, Wahlstrom had a secondary assist that came from his face off win. The game against Toronto on Monday was an even better game for him despite him not getting points. It was the most physical he has played all season. He was driving plays and he seemed way more confident in his abilities than he has all season. I genuinely think under Roy Wahlstrom can become the player we drafted him as, or at the very least, a guy who can put up 20 goals (maybe not this season, but possibly next season). A line I would kill to see is swapping the wingers on the 2nd and 3rd lines. Holmstrom is on pace for at least 20 goals, and if Wahlstrom can continue playing the way he has been, this could be an upgrade to the second line.
