Signing Guentzel into his LATE 30s,
at the expense of good young talent that could be here through their Primes,
is just crazy to me!!!

Sure, the top9 would be good w Guentzel
But I’m not losing Quinn or Peterka to do it
Especially since Guentzel is NOT the “missing piece” that makes us a Cup Contender

It just doesn’t make sense for our Cap
It also makes it hard to sign Levi should he become what we want him to
And there’s no way UPL signs for 4yrs at that Cap hit,
to get him for that long you’d be looking at doubling that number (at least), probably be closer to tripling it really


There’s just no way that Guentzel doesn’t massively screw up our Cap moving forward

? Not that hard... ? either bridge all 3 or you Buyout Skinner, lose Greenways 3 mil gone, trade Clifton, IF STILL NEEDED then trade one of Cozens/Casey. BUT this is a good problem to have? We cannot assume those 3 are going to bring us out of our slump. If Guentzel wants to come and it makes us a MUCH better team then we should do it

We’d STILL end up losing them before we wanted
